Last time when i am small, i am afraid of the height. So when i visited theme parks with my family, i never dare to ride on them. One time, my cousins force me to take a ride at Genting Theme Park and it nearly blow off my heart. I cried all the way inside the ride and when i am down, i nearly puke. Imagine the fright i have during that ride. After that for the rest of the day, i could not even look at another ride anymore. People will have this impression that after this ride, i would not take another ride anymore in my life. But practically they are wrong because after this i begin to enjoy the thrill of riding roller coaster and when you look at the people around you shouting all they way, the fun and excitement is unimaginable. Known to the world as the first Strata Coaster, it measures more than 400 feet tall and the dragster speed can reach up to 120mph. Imagine the thrill you get at this height with this speed.

The Steel Dragon: Nagashima Spa Land Amusement Park

The name of this ride was derived from the year of the dragon. The track is consider the longest in the world measuring 8133 feet, 2 inches (2479m) in length. I am sure to puke myself out in this ride.

Xcelerator was Intamin AG first hydraulically launched coaster. it has a powerful hydraulic catapult motor that accelerate it over 82mph in 1.8 second. Looking at the tracks give me the bumps. Look at the height of the track going up n down. Wow!! Very exciting

Artist Impression on Universal Studio Singapore

A whole lot of new excitement awaits movie enthusiast as Universal Studio is coming all the way to South East Asia. Universal Studio Singapore is a Theme Park located within Resorts World on Sentosa Island, Singapore. Occupying 20 hectare of land, it consist of 24 attractions and 18 of them are original and specifically design for the new park. The park is reported to be one of its kind in the South East Asia region and Universal Studio Singapore has promise that it will be the only park of its kind in the region for the next 30 years.

The company has invested over US$4.32 billion in the whole project to construct Resort World at Sentosa. About US$1 billion will be invested in the Theme Park, which will include seven themed zones that encircle a lagon and feature iconic blockbuster locations, as well as new attractions based on movies like Madagascar, Jurassic Park, The Mummy and Waterworld. There will also be live entertainment shows and educational features where visitors can learn more about computer generated animation and the art of making a hit movie. Universal Studios Singapore will also be home to the WORLD BIGGEST single collection of Dreamworks Animation theme park attractions. Universal Studio Singapore is estimated to open in the first quarter of 2010.

Hong Kong Disneyland : The Haunted Experience

Disney have done a good job here trying to pull in more visitors by having this event. Its a special event for Disney every year and they come up with pretty good themes here. Visitors can have a frightfully fun time with all the ghost that roams the streets, alien invasions and many more at Disney's Haunted Halloween in Hong Kong. According to Disney, the dark forces have return leading to series of mysterious happening such as the ghostly souls that lurks the Main Street of Haunted Hotel and those explorers that went into Demon Jungle have been missing ever since. Not to forget that at Tomorrowland, Aliens begin their ultimate plan to invade earth. Will you survive the thrilling episode of the Haunted Halloween? Be sure to check it out at Hong Kong Disneyland.

Number of attractions in Haunted Halloween:

demon jungle, main street haunted hotel, glow in the park parade, alien invasion, space mountain ghost galaxy, scary photo fun, haunted meet and greet, frightful feast, spooky souvenirs, halloween treats.

The duration of the whole period is from 18th September until 31 October 2009. I am sure that this will be a lifetime experience that one will never forget. Judging from the video that Disney create above, i can see that the whole new agenda within the walls of Disney will be a much anticipated event that everyone is looking forwards. So what are you waiting for? Visit Hong Kong Disneyland now. Speaking so much about it, i happen to fall for Disney myself. Wonder when will i have the opportunity to go there. Amusement VS Theme

Have you guys wonder whats really the difference between an Amusement Park and a Theme Park? Different website gave you different answer and all of them are correct. It actually depends on how you perceived and interpret the meaning. I have gather information from several websites and here is my own interpretation on the differences. An Amusement Park is a park that operate on just the rides itself while a Theme Park is a place where the park itself, tells the story or shows a certain theme.

Cedar Fair Park (Amusement Park)

Amusement Park's main focus is just about amusement and how to thrills the passengers that rides it. It does not tell any story about that particular ride unlike the Theme Park. Rides on an Amusement park does not tailor to everyone but in the other hand only for specific ages. Some rides are not suitable for older people and some are not for the younger generations. In other words, amusement is just about the rides and nothing else. You go in and you enjoy the ride and get thrilled.

However, there are lots of Amusement Park that called themselves Theme Park such as the Cedar Fair Park. But in most of the forums and websites that i found, they all agree on 1 thing, that Cedar Fair Park is an Amusement Park instead of Theme Park because it does not have a theme. A Theme Park in the other hand tells a story of how that particular theme evolve. Every single ride and attractions are build around the park together with that theme. The story that each Theme Park provide should fully immerse you into the environment it creates within the whole that totally has no connection to the outside world. The best example here is Disneyland. There are lots of Disneyland all around the whole and we will discuss further about each Disneyland in our future post.

Disneyland is a Theme Park and every ride and attractions in it carries a certain theme itself. Each park and land has its own story and you will be brought to a whole new level of experience where the story starts the moment you step into the ride. One thing special about Disney is that once you get inside it, you wont be able to look at the outside world. This totally makes you forget about the problems outside and only focus on 1 thing, the experience within the walls.

Craving for a days or two away from all the crazy workloads and busy schedules? This is a spot in Malaysia where you can have crazy but wonderful moments together with friends and family members. Located at Bandar Sunway in Petaling Jaya not far away from Kuala Lumpur is Malaysia first international water theme park called Sunway Lagoon. Above is an overall map of Sunway Lagoon.

Sunway Lagoon started off with few attractions when it 1st open its door to the public but now its has a total of 5 attractions and the packages that it has offered is really worth the money. Dube one of the most happening theme park in Malaysia besides the one in Genting, this one offers a whole lot of fun playing waters, splashing at each other and with all the water slides, you are guarantee to get wet. It is the perfect getaway from the hectic moment either working or studying.
